Jackel 55R - The Right Price at $1050

Jackel 55R Rank 1

Outstanding value, safety and price!

The Jackel 55R, is a single cylinder, 4 stroke, air cooled engine that reaches a max speed of 28mph. It has a 4 speed, semi auto, chain transmission and a tank capacity of up to 1 gallon. Fun, safe and delivers all the performance for an amazingly low price. There is no better value in the US today. This vehicle smokes the high quality competitor's prices by at least 500 bucks! And destroys low in units in durability, performance, safety and quality.

Jackel Motorsports reps quickly pointed out to us that they are a US manufacturer and distributor with close to 10 years in the business. Production quality is better managed to meet US specs resulting in a superior quality unit. Though this ATV is manufactured in China, the end result is a better value. High end companies have premium prices because of the name brand, company costs and overhead costs. It seems that Jackel has found the best means to combine Chinese mass manufacturing with Japanese quality manufacturing to provide the best overall 50cc quad on the market today. The end result is superbly made product with an affordable price.

Reviewers even spoke with the expert technicians at Jackel. They were efficient, courteous and knowledgeable about not only the Jackel products but the competition as well. Parts are readily available and shipped the same day it is ordered! How do they do that? Jackel has all parts ready in warehouse, connected with the sales department to ship.

Suzuki Z50 - $1899.99

Suzuki Z50 Rank 2

The Mellow Yellow for Beginners!

This cool cat all terrain vehicle has a 4 stroke, single cylinder, air-cooled engine. It weighs 167 lbs. and can hold up to 0.7 gals. It is a little lighter than the Jackel 55R model and does its job.

A little heads up: The Suzuki Z50 uses mechanical drums as its breaking system. It is said that disk brakes are a lot more reliable than the drum. Considering friction and heat that build up when applying pressure on wheels to stop, discs have shown to have better performance when a hard brake is needed! Still, the Jackel 55R comes on top of the competition, for a cheaper price. It is a consumer friendly price and better machine.

Polaris Predator 50 - $2099.99

Polaris Predator 50 Rank 3

Looks Great. Runs Good.

The Polaris Predator 50 is a relatively okay vehicle to get. It has a 4 stroke-air cooled engine that again, uses a mechanical drum as brakes. It lacks disc brakes.

On the other hand, if purchased MSRP from Polaris industries, it comes with a DOT approved youth helmet and other safety features. It has a parental tether for safety and comes with an instructional video to ensure safe riding.

Yamaha Raptor 50 - $2199.99

Yamaha Raptor 50 Rank 4

$1000 dollars behind of the game.

Yamaha comes out with the raptor 50 2008 model and expect to have an iphone success. I don't think so my friend. This machine has a 4 stroke, air-cooled, 2 valve automatic 2 wheel drive engine. It comes standard with drum brakes both front and back and holds a good 1.8 gal of fuel. This machine has luxury written all over it, especially on the price.

KYMCO Mongoose 50 - $1699

KYMCO Mongoose 50 Rank 5

Solid but unspectacular

KYMCO comes out with the Mongoose 50 model and. This machine has a 4 stroke, air-cooled, 2 valve automatic 2 wheel drive engine. It comes standard with drum brakes both front and back and holds a good 1.4 gal of fuel. This machine has a great look and a reasonable price. KYMCO offers a solid product.

Roketa ATV - 50 - $599

Roketa ATV Rank 6

Great price but at what cost?

Roketa has 50 cc model. This machine has a 4 stroke, air-cooled, 2 valve automatic 2 wheel drive engine. It comes standard with disc brakes both front and back and holds a good 0.2 gal of fuel. This machine has a decent look and a reasonable price. However, we are concerned about parts support and durability of the unit that translates into rider safety. Another concern is that Roketa as a company is now on its third name as a company. Previously the product was called Terminator and Golden Vale. Our reviewers appreciate quality branding but frequent name change is a cause for a concern. Is this because they would rather flood the market with poorly made units and then change the company name to escape a bad reputation?

Tank MPX-50 (formerly Redcat) - $999

Tank MPX-50 (formerly Redcat) Rank 7

Great price why is it so inexpensive?

We the Redcat has a long and storied history in the United States, so much so that they company changed its name from Redcat to Tank. This machine has a 4 stroke, air-cooled, 2 valve automatic 2 wheel drive engine. It comes standard with rear disc brakes and holds 0.2 gal of fuel. This machine has a decent look and has a reasonable price. However, companies change names usually to forget the past. As we noted with the Roketa brand, we have issues with this.

Kazuma Wombat50 - $525

Kazuma Wombat50 Rank 8

Great price but is only for close out specials?

Kazuma offers the market a 50 cc model. TThis machine has a 4 stroke, air-cooled, 2 valve automatic 2 wheel drive engine. It comes standard with rear disc brakes and holds a good 0.91 gal of fuel. Kazuma has a poor reputation with parts and service. We are greatly concerned with a CPSC review of its preview 50 cc offering the Meerkat 50. We hope that the current offering does not have the serious issues that its predecessor provided. However, they look identical.

SunL 50cc ATV - $699

SunL 50cc ATV Rank 9

Great price but is only for close out specials?

We "think" that SunL has a 50 cc model. Thinking because there website no longer displays a unit in this class. This machine has a 4 stroke, air-cooled, 2 valve automatic 2 wheel drive engine. It comes standard with rear disc brakes and holds a good 0.2 gal of fuel. This machine has a decent look and has a reasonable price. However, we are concerned by the lack of information on the SunL website. Not to mention a poor reputation with parts and service.
